FOTIS KALANTZIS
President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Dr. Fotis Kalantzis is the President & CEO, Director and co-founder of Spartan Delta. He is also Director and co-founder of Logan Energy. He has been a co-founder of several public companies and has over 25 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and development in senior technical and leadership positions. Dr. Kalantzis was co-founder and Senior Vice President, Exploration of Spartan Energy, and co-founder and Vice President, Exploration of Spartan Oil and of Spartan Exploration. Prior thereto, Dr. Kalantzis was the Exploration Manager at Innova Exploration. He also held technical positions at Petro-Canada, Saudi Aramco, Suncor Energy, Wascana Energy, Home Oil and Mobil Oil in connection with oil and gas exploration and development in Canada and internationally. Dr. Kalantzis holds a B.Sc. in Physics and a Diploma in Environmental Physics from Aristotle University, an M.Sc. in Physics from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Ph.D. in Geophysics.

 

RONALD A. WILLIAMS
Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer

Ronald Williams is a Chartered Professional Accountant and brings over 31 years of industry experience in audit, finance and taxation, as well as corporate and asset acquisitions. Mr. Williams has been with Spartan since March 2021 and held the roles of Manager, Finance & Tax, then as Director, Finance. Prior thereto, Mr. Williams provided financial accounting and taxation services to a variety of public and private Alberta based entities. Mr. Williams was the Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder of two Alberta focused oil and gas companies traded on the TSX-V, and currently serves as a director on a private transportation logistics company. Mr. Williams graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary in 1992 and obtained his Chartered Accountant designation in 1995.

 

THANOS NATRAS
Vice President, Exploration

Thanos Natras is a professional geologist with over 22 years of experience in both conventional and unconventional plays across the Western Canadian and Williston Basins, most recently employed with Vermilion as the Team Lead for southeast Saskatchewan operations. Prior thereto, from 2014 to 2018, Mr. Natras was employed with Spartan Energy where he held the roles of Manager, Geoscience, and Senior Geologist. Before joining Spartan Energy, Mr. Natras held the role of Vice President, Exploration, at Arcan Resources Ltd. from 2011 to 2013. Prior thereto, from 2004 to 2010, Mr. Natras was employed by EnCana Corp. where he held various geoscience and operational oriented roles. From 1996 to 2003, Mr. Natras provided geological wellsite supervision on more than 170 wells across western Canada. Mr. Natras holds a B.Sc. in Geology from the University of Alberta and is an active member of the Canadian Society of Petroleum Geologists and the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta ("APEGA").

 

RANDY BERG
Vice President, Land and Stakeholder Relations

Randy Berg is a professional landman with over 30 years of diverse Canadian oil and gas experience, specializing in land and acquisition negotiations.  Most recently, Mr. Berg served as Vice President, Land at Spartan Energy Corp. Before joining Spartan, Mr. Berg was Vice President, Land and Business Development at Renegade Petroleum Ltd. Prior thereto, his roles included, Conventional Business Unit Manager at Petrobakken Energy Ltd, Vice President Land at Alberta Clipper Energy Inc. and Vice President Marketing at Enermarket Solutions Ltd. Mr. Berg also served in numerous senior negotiation and administration positions dating back to 1987. He graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is an active member of the Canadian Association of Petroleum Landmen (CAPL).

 

MARTIN MALEK
Vice President, Engineering & Business Development

Martin Malek is a professional engineer with 16 years of industry experience, most recently with Tamarack Valley Energy as Vice President, Engineering, and previously serving as Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Planning. Prior thereto, he held the role of Petroleum Engineer at Apache Corporation in both Canada and the U.S., and has extensive experience in reservoir, production, and operations engineering. Mr. Malek holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is an active member of APEGA.
